ALEX CLARKE

As a finalist in the BBC Young Jazz Musician of the Year 2020, winner of the Rising Star category in the 2019 British Jazz Awards and nominee in the 2020 & 2021 Parliamentary Jazz Awards, Alex is renowned to be one of the most versatile and charismatic saxophonists on the UK music scene.

 

Alex is experienced as both a solo artist and bandleader with a deep understanding of a variety of genres from vintage swing, jazz and soul, to Motown, House and Ibiza Classics. As well as working with DJ’s and a range of function bands, Alex is an experienced session musician, having recorded at Abbey Road Studios and been featured on a variety of albums.

 

As a jazz musician, Alex has worked alongside some of the most highly respected musicians on the British jazz scene as well as leading her own band, The Alex Clarke Quartet. As well as touring internationally, Alex has played at many prestigious UK venues such as Cadogan Hall, The Bridgewater Hall and Ronnie Scott’s.

 

With a friendly and professional manner, Alex is able to tailor her music to perfectly suit your event, whether it be background jazz or vintage-themed 1920’s swing right through to Ibiza-style sax with DJ. She has a large network of musicians with whom she can collaborate should you require.
